CLIMATE CHANGE

          We know that man-made climate change is real and that if posses great threat to the planet and its inhabitants. Current data suggest that we need to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions in developed countries by at least 80% by 2050 in order to have a change of staying below an average temperature rise of over 2’C. Factory farming is a major contributor the climate change challenges, releasing vast volumes of greenhouse gasses.

          Climate change is a long term in the climate of a specific location, region or planet. The shift is measured by charges in features associated with average weather, such as temperature, wind patterns and precipitation. What most people don’t know is that a change in the variability of climate is also considered climate change, even if average weather conditions remain the same.

          Climate change occurs when the climate of a specific area or planet is altered between two different periods of time. This usually occurs when something changes the total amount of the sun’s energy absorbed by the earth’s atmosphere and surface. It also happens when something changes the amount of heat energy from the earth surface and atmosphere that escapes to space over an extended period of time.

          The earth’s climate is dynamic and always changing through a natural cycle. What the world is more worried about is that the changes that are occurring today have been speeded up because of man’s activities.

            This last two months of studying new topics on our subject ICT, I have learned many new things, mainly about how to wok on the notepad. This subject has provided me with all types of new information that has helped me sharpen my working skills on notepad. With each activity we have done, I have able to expand my views and learn more about each of the topics.

            With each activity that I have done, I was able to learn something about myself as a beginner. At first it was so easy because I was only copying articles on the internet and save it on my documents but as days past on, our topics and activity become harder. This subject taught me how to work on the activity without any accompaniment.

            Being part of the class, I have learned so much about myself and my abilities as a student. With each activities that we have did I was explore new things. I was also become responsible to study my lessons. Moving on, I will believe in myself that I can face those challenges in my life.

          Language is use for self-expression, verbal thinking, problem solving and creative writing but it is used essentially for communication. What makes it beautiful to grasp the language user’s system of representation for communication with others is the fact that the capability of individuals to interact with others through language is a unique quality and at the same time a universal human quality.

         

            Every year we always celebrate the English month. This year’s theme is “Upholding English Proficiency for Communicative Competence”. Communicative competence is a term in linguistics which refers to a language user's grammatical knowledge of syntax, morphology, phonology and the like, as well as social knowledge about how and when to use utterances appropriately.

          Being a student, we must know how to speak English language. It’s our responsibility to learn and to speak fluent in English language. The main benefit a person gains when committing to learn English or any language is the ability to communicate with the language itself and create connections with a wider range of the world’s population. Another is undergoing a change in electrical activity, gaining increase mental flexibility, creating a greater comprehension for how language works and is used. It also helps prevent the deterioration of brain functioning over time and increase ability in digital literacy

              We must learn English in order for us to gain friends, to communicate with other people and for a better nation.

                   Sustainable  energy is likely to be the backbone of the future world. Generally, almost every economic activity needs energy in order to maintain healthy conditions and thus be able to gain more profits.

  Every year, we always celebrate Science Month. The theme for this year is “SCIENTRICITY: Energizing Science Clubbers for Sustainable Energy”. This theme aims to introduce the sustainable energy and engage them in the call for its responsible use. These also increase youth awareness in the significance of sustainability and energy extraction.

  Not only would it present practical applications and theories in the concepts of sustainable energy, it will also challenge the science clubbers mentally and physically through fun and educational lectures, workshops, team-building activities and contests.

            We must study about science because this will broaden our understanding of the world around us, may allow us to influence and develop accepted scientific knowledge, and will give us the skills needed to approach most matters in a reasoned and analytical manner. It will also opens the students to a range of ways of thinking e.g. analysis of observations, spotting trends and patterns, as well as some mathematics and computation, in addition to the important practical laboratory work.

              Teachers who inspire know that teaching is like cultivating a garden, those who have nothing to do with thorns must never attempt to gather flowers.

               When I think of a hero I immediately think of someone who is strong, intelligent, handsome, and daring. They could be also Spiderman, Batman or even Wonder woman but for me, my hero is my teacher because they are the role model of good values, they are the persons who advices us and who gives their hundred percent effort in teaching us. 

               A teacher is a person who provides education for students. Teachers may provide instruction in literacy and numeracy, craftsmanship or vocational training, the arts, religion, civics, community roles, or life skills. I think, my teacher is the most deserved person to be my hero because she is doing everything for us to gain knowledge. She control of the classroom, make her work and strive for excellence, search for new methods and ideas to use, shares her knowledge and prepares her lessons in advance. When we have problems or having difficulty understanding in our subject, she listens and gives advices. She encourages us to listen and make our projects. She also gives chance to me and to my classmates for us to succeed. 

               Teaching is the number one priority of my teacher.  Even though my teacher has no superpowers but she’s my hero during class hours. I know that she is the best teacher I’ve ever met because she teaches from the heart, not from the book. And she is doing her best that’s why I love my teacher, Mrs. Elizabeth Quitoriano.

You Are My Only Hero

         Everyone of us has a different opinion about what a hero is but for me, a hero is role model, a person who makes you smile, someone who is willing to put a hundred percent effort in protecting you from pain and will share with you the knowledge required for survival. Someone who cares for your happiness and loves you for being yourself.

          A could be a Superman, Batman, Spiderman or even a Wonder woman but for me, my hero is my parents.  I think they are the most deserved person to be my hero. They work everyday of the week even Saturday and Sunday and never complaining about it. Prepares all the things we need and sustain the things we want. Even if we were not rich, they give their everything to me to make me happy. If I am sick, my superhero parents are always there for me. They me what ever they think can help me feel better. They give me the proper care like giving me the proper medicines. My superhero parents are also like a nurse because they know the right way to make me feel better when I am sad.

Even if they are tired in doing their work but still they goes to work everyday so they can provide our need. My parents do not think about themselves but more about our family.

        My parents are my superhero. I will study hard to help them in the future and I shall thank them for giving me caring, loving, brave and clean-hearted parents.

"TATAG NG WIKANG FILIPINO, LAKAS NG PAGKA PILIPINO"

Language is a part of communication. It is group of symbols , sounds and related laws to express those feelings you want to express. The scientific study of language in any of its senses is called linguistics.
Filipino languages is very important to us Filipinos because we use this express or send the thoughts and feelings by speaking and writing using this language.
Some Filipino says that they love, respect and adore our language but they didn't use it in communicating. Instead they use another language because of the bad ideas and comments that bears in their minds. But in this language, we understand each other. There are words don,t have the same meaning because we have different dialects.

A person who use Filipino language is called true Filipino. By using Filipino language, we have a good relationship, unity and understand each other. And Rizal says, "Ang taong hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika ay higit pa malansang isda".

For almost two months of studying this subject ICT, there are so many lessons that I have learned. I have learned that not always is I am right and know our topics. I have to do my assignments and composed my essays for my blog without any accompaniment.

Studying this subject is not that just easy. There are so many challenges that I have encountered. Sometimes I cannot follow our topics. Before, making essay for my blog is very challenging because I’m not good in English Grammar. But now, I’m doing my very best to composed my essays.

I became more responsible to study my lessons and my assignments. Moving on, I will believe in myself that I can face those challenges in my life because believing in oneself is the most important bricks in building a successful venture.

State of the Nation Address is an annual address by the President of the Philippines to congress of the Philippines. It is required by 1987 constitution of the Philippines and must be delivered every 4^th Monday of July at the Batasan Pambansa Complex in Batasan Hills, Quezon City.

     President Benigno Aquino III delivered his 3^rd State of the Nation Address during Joint Session of the 15^th congress of the Philippines at the Plenay Hall, House of Representative Complex, Constitution Hills, in Quezon City last July 23, 2012.

     These are some programs which he delivered. Some programs are very helpful to us especially to those people who are need. Because of the programs he implemented, 4.57 million of students who could not go to school before due to poverty are now able to study. Also, 55% of Filipinos were now PHILHEALTH members which are good for those citizen people. 30,000 nurses were deployed to 36,000 Barangays. This program helps those people who are in remote area. There must be 1.5 million hectares of trees to be planted by 2016. These can help us in time of calamities because trees suck those excess waters.

     Aquino said that “Filipino made changes possible, change comes from the citizenry”. This saying that he said was very inspiring because he is reminding that we must begin to change to have a better country.

"Pagkain ng Gulay Ugaliin, araw-araw itong ihain"

Healthy nutrition is the most important factor for maintaining and keeping good health. Healthy nutrition basically is eating healthy and balance from all the basic food groups which consist of the dairy group, poultry group, fruit group, vegetable group and a little from the fats oil and sweets groups. It is also imperative to drink an adequate amount that corresponds all the dairy guidelines of eight glasses a day which is equivalent to a one-two litres soda per day.

          The 38^th nutrition month celebration in July this year will focus on vegetables. Vegetables are given importance as the entire nation celebrates Nutrition Month this year because it has been observed that Filipinos these days are eating less and less vegetables.

          Based on the food consumption surveys that where conducted, Filipinos on the average eat less vegetables per day in last three years. From 145 grams per day on vegetables in 1978, consumption went down to 110 grams per day in the year 2008.

          Some of the reasons for the low consumption of vegetables for the last three years which include influence of family members who do not eat vegetables, dislike for vegetables because of the taste and textures, preference for meat than vegetables, vegetables require more time to prepare and lack of knowledge on the nutrition and health benefits of vegetables among others. Approximately 1.7 million deaths worldwide are contributed to low fruit and vegetable consumption.

          Healthy diet can help prevent major non-communicable diseases. We must eat vegetables and fruits everyday to make our body healthy and have resistance to make our daily task successful.

Letter to the President:

              

                A good day to you Sir!

              

                      I wrote a letter to you Mr. President because I want to expressed my deep concern and my insights about our country's progression.

             

                      Nowadays, there are so many problems that occur in our country. Poverty is one of the biggest problem of our country because of the fast growth of population, there are no more space for other people. Some people lives at squatter areas and most of people in squatter areas get marriage with each other.

             

               Its been almost two years that you became the President of our country, Philippines. And this past two years, I've seen many changes. This changes made our country became progressive because the Philippines before was in top 69 and today is in between 50-55 in the latest rating of economy. But I'm not contented about our latest rating of economy Mr. President because I want you Sir to make our country more progressive.

             

                     Some President have strongly exercise the power of leadership and I know that you are one of them but others have been relatively weak leaders.
